would want to blog, but my heart is full of things to say and "WORD" is not working on my computer...so here I am
This is a message I shared with a FB friend a year ago in October:
Thank you so much Jan! I love that we can get in touch this way! Yes, it was worth it (but I wouldn't have the nerve to do it again, ha!). The last 3 years my dad died, my sister this January and my mom September 1st. I lost a friend of over 30 years in December, went through nursing school, menopause, got a job as a new nurse in the ICU and our son moved to South Korea to teach English.
I have been at my limit of sadness and stress, but I am thankful for everything the dear Lord has given us, including having such a great mom and dad for all of my life. I'd like to hear how things are going with you, sorry my message is so heavy.... : /
Love and hugs! Sheryl
....A year later, one year plus in the IMC/ICU at Seton Medical Center Hays, just lost Rudy's/my oldest sister Bea on September 29th, 3 weeks after her cancer diagnosis of Mantle Cell Lymphoma and one day after her birthday. MD Anderson gave her a birthday gift, she had cake with smiling pictures, surrounded by her family. Rudy and I sang happy birthday to her with the guitar from Fredericksburg. We had gone to her side August 13th, the day she came home from the hospital with the doctors report, August 21st at her house, pictures of mom, sisters, nieces surrounding her on her bed, Rudy making her laugh. She went to be with the Lord also surrounded by her family, I was holding her hand, Terry playing "How Great Thou Art" by Elvis, she opened her eyes one last time and went into the arms of the Lord. She told us plainly "I want to go home to Jesus....quit waking me up..."
